Partner with Econify to strategically use full stack, AI, mobile, OTT, and cloud engineering to solve complex challenges
Challenge
AMC, in partnership with Deltatre, set out to deliver a new version of its Shudder streaming platform across multiple devices.
The scope was substantial, approximately 100 features across seven platforms, within a compressed timeline and alongside distributed engineering teams.
Econify joined to help scale delivery, maintain consistency, and support a high-quality launch without slowing momentum.
Goals
Econify partnered with Deltatre to support AMC with three primary objectives:
Rapid expansion of engineering capacity to meet aggressive delivery timelines
Integration with established teams and workflows already in motion to ensure platform consistency and compliance
Consistent delivery across platforms with differing technical requirements, including achieving feature parity with existing Shudder applications
Econify partnered with AMC and Deltatre to scale engineering delivery and support the successful launch of the Shudder streaming platform across seven platforms, enabling rapid feature development while maintaining stability and consistency.
Solution
Econify embedded within the delivery organisation, providing both engineering capacity and technical leadership across frontend and backend teams. The team scaled quickly to 15 engineers, representing roughly one-third of the total engineering effort, and contributed across all major platforms including Roku, mobile, and smart TV, ensuring consistent feature delivery and a cohesive user experience.
Econify engineers led 5 of the 7 delivery streams, helping coordinate development, unblock issues, and maintain alignment across teams. Leveraging prior platform experience, onboarding was accelerated so new engineers could contribute early and increase delivery velocity. During pre- and post-launch phases, the team supported a high-intensity hypercare period, delivering approximately 50 updates per week over three months to stabilize and enhance the platform.
Throughout the engagement, there was a continued focus on improving communication, coordination, and code quality, enabling teams to move quickly without sacrificing stability or consistency.

Business Value
Econify’s contribution enabled a successful, high-quality launch of the Shudder platform. AMC ultimately launched a product they were proud to bring to market, supported by a scalable engineering foundation and improved delivery capability. Beyond the initial release, the engagement left teams with improved delivery practices and a stronger engineering foundation for future development.
