Job Description
Econify works with companies across media, streaming, fintech, and AI to solve engineering problems that matter. Some of that work is best handled by experienced contractors who prefer project-based engagements over a full-time role.
We're looking to build a roster of engineers we can bring in when the right project comes up. Engagements vary: a few weeks of focused build work, a longer embedded stint with a client team, or targeted help shipping a specific deliverable. What they have in common is real work on real systems, alongside a team that takes the craft seriously.
What the work looks like
Our clients are typically mid-to-large companies with complex digital platforms. You might be building a new service, improving the performance of an existing one, or helping a team ship something they're behind on. Most of our work involves Node.js, React, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), and increasingly AI/ML pipelines, though we often care more about engineering judgment than a specific stack.
You'll work within client codebases, follow their workflows, and deliver code their teams can own after you're done.
What we're looking for
You've shipped production software in a consulting or client-facing environment. You can join a project mid-stream, understand the constraints quickly, and start contributing without a long ramp. You communicate clearly with clients and teammates, and you're upfront when something doesn't make sense.
